Aecoc celebrates the 19th edition of the Foro Nacional del Transporte

 

The next March 21, 2019 celebrates the 19th edition of the Foro Nacional del Transporte de Aecoc in Madrid. They bring together transporters, freighters, associations, organizers and public administrations, in collaboration with the DGT and the National Transportation Committee.

 

Addressed to managers of transport and logistics companies, the event aims to examine the challenges posed in the sector, to put in place good practices and to encourage collaboration between the agents involved.

Among the issues discussed, the new ROTT (Regulation of Land Transit Management), the growth prospects for the coming years and the advances in transport management will be highlighted. In addition the event will put on the table the commitment on new technologies to optimize the movement of merchandise, the use of tenders for contracting services and collaboration to improve productivity and planning.

Specifically, the Forum will consist of 6 papers:

  • "Trucks driven by quality" by Kristian Kaas Mortensen, Strategic Director
  • "The transport key piece in the distribution", by Paula Torrent, head of hair distribution in MAKRO, and Joachim Lindner, director of the Division of Distribution in Hospitality of MAKRO.
  • "Tenders for the contracting of the transport", by Eugenio Vila, Purchasing Logistics South Europe of Henkel.
  • "How to contribute value to the transport chain?" Debate table
  • "In search of an optimal transport network", by Javier Pérez Martínez, Transportation manager Europe & Sub-Saharian Africa of Pepsico.
  • "A world of opportunities", by Fernando Sánchez Salinero, Strategic Consultant expert in the construction and development of project.

Aecoc expects about 350 professionals from the sector at the event, an essential event for transporters and logistics companies in Spain.

Alejandro Sánchez, director of Supply Chain in Aecoc, highlights a sustained recovery since 2012, so that levels of activity similar to those pre-crisis are recovered, with the exception of construction, and with the highest volume of activity since 2010.
